Personal Information:
I was born into a musical family in Jacksonville, Florida.  My father was a tenor in a gospel quartet which traveled throughout the southeast during my formative years.  I have fond memories of all the church experiences I had while watching my father perform.  My father, sister and I performed as a trio over the years for many events.  Our biggest fan was my Grandmother, to whom we would sing on Sunday afternoons after church.  I spent many memorable Sundays around my Grandmother's rocking chair.

Individually, I played the fife, piano, organ and flute throughout my school years.  Band and choral performances were school functions I enjoyed and I hope our students at Westlake will look back upon their musical, artistic endeavors with

as much ardor as I.

I married my husband, Ken, in 1983.  We are the proud parents of Kenny, a senior at USF and Ricky, a sophomore at St. Petersburg College.  While the boys were attending elementary school, I served as PTO president.  During that time, I also chaired the Adopt-A-Class program which successfully brought the business sector into the school through a cooperative effort.  While the boys were attending middle school, I had the opportunity to accompany the band at contest and play for all choral events.  My family loves to travel and we have been privileged to traverse the United States and to have traveled to Mexico and Canada.

Special Interests:
Nothing beats a quiet night at home with my husband.  I also enjoy spending time with family and friends dining out, watching a movie or simply playing games.  Obviously, I enjoy anything involving music be it the symphony or a Broadway performance.  I am a fan of both the Tampa Bay Bucs and the USF Bulls.  I love to snow ski and have been fortunate enough to ski Vail, Beaver Creek, Keystone, Brekenridge, Silver Creek, Lake Tahoe, Park City and Deer Valley.

Favorite Bible Verse:

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Philippians 4:13

Classroom Motto:

"I Can"
