Instruction in God’s Word is a vital part of a Westlake student’s experience at school. Within our elementary school division, the classroom teachers at each grade level provide teaching in everything from Bible stories to Biblical truths. Throughout the week, the teachers use a dedicated Bible curriculum to teach the stories and application when developmentally appropriate.
In addition, teachers integrate the Biblical worldview into everyday situations and use the curriculum to expand on these opportunities. In addition to classroom instruction, we believe our students need to come together in a time of corporate worship and prayer. As a result, students participate in community Chapel once a week where praise and worship, as well as a Bible lesson, are hallmarks of the time together.
